St. Louis Community Foundation Welcomes Dr. Kelvin Adams as President & CEO

The Board of Directors of the St. Louis Community Foundation has announced that Dr. Kelvin Adams will serve as the organization’s next President & CEO.

In a press release dated July 19, 2023, the Community Foundation said: “Dr. Adams’ extensive background as a community leader, educator, and advocate for the St. Louis region makes him the perfect choice to lead the St. Louis Community Foundation into a new era of support for our region.

Dr. Adams served for 14 years as the Superintendent for the Saint Louis Public School District. His many notable accomplishments during his tenure with the District include:

  • St. Louis Public Schools regaining provisional and full accreditation from the Missouri State Board of Education
  • Increasing the high school graduation rate from 54 percent to 80 percent

Dr. Adams’ more than 40 years of unwavering devotion to serving youth, families, and communities will be a major asset to the future of the Foundation as we carry out our mission of inspiring purposeful philanthropy.”
